Hi, I’m Tanya Smith
I’m pleased to be joining Queensland Walks as the Project Manager for Walkshops and Community Advocacy. I have a background in the not-for-profit, community, and government sectors, and I’m passionate about creating positive, lasting change within communities.
My experience focuses on community engagement, program development, and designing spaces and places that foster connection. Over the years, I’ve gained a diverse skill set in management, program delivery, and volunteer coordination, always working to respond to community needs and deliver real outcomes through collaboration and strategic planning.
I’m really excited to be part of Queensland Walks and helping to deliver meaningful community initiatives and promote walkability across the region.
Outside of work, I’m a keen walker myself, enjoying everything from fitness walks, to walks with friends and slow strolls around my local streets with my English bulldog, Winnie.
