Queensland Walking Alliance #3 meeting – Model Code for Neighbourhood Design

Queensland Walking Alliance meeting: Wednesday 9th December 12:00pm 

Queensland Walks is proud to invite Queensland Walking Alliance members to discuss the new Model Code for Neighbourhood Design with special guest Kristy Forwood, Director, Policy & Innovation, Planning Group, Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning.

Kristy Forwood is the Director of Policy and Innovation at the Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning. With over 15 years of experience as a planner, in both the private and public sectors, Kristy’s current role is focused on driving creative and innovative approaches for improving and enhancing the regulatory and policy settings for the planning framework. Kristy leads ongoing planning policy programs and initiatives and engages with stakeholders and other users of the framework to ensure it meets the needs of stakeholders.

The meeting will be co-convened by Greg Vann, Ethos Urban and Anna Campbell, Queensland Walks and will allow you an opportunity to understand the Model Code and how this will improve walkability and support healthy and active communities. We invite you to submit questions prior to the meeting via info@queeenslandwalks.org.au
