2024 State Election Priorities
For the 2024 Queensland election, Queensland Walks identified four core election priorities to improve the walkability of Queensland. High level government commitment for walkable communities
Walking is for everyone.
We all enjoy a good walk, roll and stroll whether for leisure or commuting. It’s important to help all Queenslanders have access to comfortable, convenient and safe spaces for walking, and responsible driving.

We call for the use of the Sustainable Transport Hierarchy to inform transport decisions.

The Queensland Walking Alliance members commit to a healthier and more connected Queensland by advocating to all levels of government and practitioners by encouraging and supporting better walking facilities, better investment and more walking every day.
