You’re invited to the Safe Cities | Safe Streets Night Walk
Queensland Walks and Queensland Health–Queensland Women and Girls Health Promotion Program invite you to join this local community event, highlighting the importance of safe, walkable spaces for women and girls.
Delivered in partnership with the Zonta Club of Brisbane, the University of Queensland, and Queensland Walks, the Safe Cities | Safe Streets initiative explores how women and girls experience safety in public spaces, particularly after dark.
We invite you to:
- Walk with us along Moores Creek Road
- Share your insights by completing a short survey (*please bring your mobile phone)
- Join us afterwards at a nearby venue for continued conversation
Date: Thursday 28 August 2025
Time: 5.15PM (for a 5.30pm start)
Route: Shared path along Moores Creek Road, between Yaamba Road and Kerrigan Street
Meeting Point: Grassed area at the northern end of Stockland Shopping Centre (Moores Creek Rd, Yaamba Rd/Bruce Hwy & Musgrave St intersection)
*Please wear walking shoes.
