Wivenhoe Hills Walk by Adventurous Women

This is a peaceful circuit walk tracing the shoreline trails around Wivenhoe Dam. Once a busy camping and picnic spot, the area is now closed to vehicles, making it a quiet place to explore on foot. The old buildings remain, adding a touch of history to the landscape. We’ll follow well-worn paths through bushland, with open views across the water and a good chance of seeing native birds or wildlife.
The route includes a few modest hills to get the blood flowing, but the pace is relaxed and there’s time to take in the scenery. It’s not unusual to come across local horse riders enjoying the same trails. With little traffic and few people, it’s a chance to slow down, stretch the legs, and share the day with a small group of like-minded women.
