Join the Queensland Walk Explore Steps Challenge

A key activity of Queensland Walks Month, the 10,000 Steps team launched the Queensland Walk Explore Steps Challenge on 1st August. Supported by Health and Wellbeing Queensland and the Queensland Government through ActiveKIT Round 2, the Challenge is bringing all Queensland member’s steps together to try to reach more than a BILLION steps in August.

FUN FACT: For the month of July 2023, Queenslanders logged a total of 490 million steps.

Can Queenslanders more than double the amount of steps logged in July to reach one billion steps this Queensland Walks Month? Individuals, community groups and workplaces from across the state have embraced the Challenge, already collectively logging over 150 million steps, and rising by the minute! Check out the Daily Progress graph on the Challenge page to view the latest count.

It’s not too late to join the fun. You can make #EveryStepCount too, by logging your steps with the 10,000 Steps program website or mobile app. Head to 10000Steps.org.au to create your free account and get moving!
