Queensland Walks’ Week FAQ’s

No, you don’t need to complete a set number of steps, or kilometres to be part of the week! Whilst we encourage you to aim for 10,000 Steps per day or at least 30 mins of walking, Queensland Walks’ Week is about celebrating walking, and encouraging you to notice your walking environment.
No, this isn’t a fundraising campaign. You can celebrate and talk to everyone you meet about walking instead!You can support Queensland Walks by becoming a financial member for $20 (inc GST).
No, you can register and participate in Walk Week as an individual, AND as a group if you would like. It is not a requirement to be in a team or group however. We encourage each individual group or team member to register.
No you don’t have to upload any of your walks, however if you would like to be eligible to be in the random prize draw, you will need to follow our competition Terms and Conditions. See further instructions on how to submit or upload below.
Yes! One of the great ways to connect with your team or group is by participating in Queensland Walks’ Week and sharing your photos, video or audio online. We know that the workplace has changed, and we think Walk Week is a great way to stay connected to friends and colleagues. Don’t forget to register individually, and as a team to be involved.

How do I post, upload or submit my photos, video or audio?

Follow and post your photo, you comment and your walking group or team name daily on our Queensland Walks Facebook posts 

Random prizes: $250 catered lunch for your registered group or team, or eligible for 2 x $50 vouchers of your choice.

You can participate by uploading your photo, video or audio using this form

Random prizes:
  • 1 x $50 voucher of your choice for an audio upload
  •  x $50 voucher of your choice for a video upload
