Queensland Healthy Places Network

Health and Wellbeing Queensland has an ambitious plan to build an expansive Queensland Healthy Places Network, supported by a digital platform – to connect, empower and leverage all the people working to create healthier local communities across Queensland.

The Queensland Healthy Places Network will connect across professions, disciplines and sectors to allow us all to share, learn and break new ground in the prevention of overweight and obesity in Queensland. To support the Network, Health and Wellbeing Queensland is building a digital platform to make connection easier and magnify impact. Topic and population specific networks (such as the Walking Hub), and regional and local networks, remain critical and in establishing the Queensland Healthy Places Network we want to connect and not duplicate or replace existing  networks. The platform will be completely informed and shaped by a co-design process, which is where we need you.

We seek your interest in being involved and/or updated on the Queensland Healthy Places Network and ask that you take part in a short survey, which should take around 5 minutes to complete.  We encourage you to share this survey with anyone you know who is passionate about creating lasting change with Queensland communities.

Open until Monday 20th September 2021, you can start the survey from this link.

Health and Wellbeing Queensland was successful in receiving funding for this initiative from the Health Innovation Fund (Commonwealth Government).

If you have any questions about the survey please feel free to contact Health and Wellbeing Queensland. Melinda Covey-Hansen, Principal Lead – Physical Activity  w hw.qld.gov.au
