NAIDOC week 2025 – The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy

With NAIDOC turning 50 in 2025, this year’s theme celebrates a legacy built on strength. ‘The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy’ invites all Australians to reflect on the proud history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander activism, while celebrating the emerging leaders who continue to shape a more just and inclusive future.

What began as a call for justice has become a national movement, one that elevates Indigenous voices, culture, and community leadership. The National NAIDOC Committee’s renewed focus on self-determination this year signals an inspiring shift; young people stepping up with confidence, and creativity.

NAIDOC Week is a time to listen, learn, and stand alongside First Nations peoples as they lead the way forward.
